  1. Hey, where do you study?
  2. I’m not so sure about that, there are so many aspiring dentists in my year it’s unreal! Oh, maxillofacial surgery is surgery for injuries in the head, neck, face and jaws – it requires a degree in both dentistry and medicine - usually in that order but there are loads of medics that specialise in it nowadays as well. It would be so awesome to do that as a job :mmm:
Ooh, never heard of it but I’m sure it’s good
Yeah, we get told like every other day how different A-levels are to GCSE and how you can’t just blag them, but I really struggle in motivating myself to work! Haha, you know deep down you miss science :’) and will do – maths is bound to get tricky soon enough, thanks!
  3. Not particularly, its been AAA for a while but I wouldn't be surprised if they went up seeing as its scarily competitive now (even though it's always been competitive really).
Yeah, I've been at my local dentist but what I'm really excited for is the Maxillofacial w/e at the hospital - it just seems so interesting! (excuse my inner geek)
Oh, well I know Oxbridge just like extra-reading around your subject so if you read loadsa economics-related books I'm sure you'll be fine

Hmmm, unfortunately I'm still not out of my lazy mode even though I know I need to do work and so everything just seems like a drag... I'm loving the content in bio chem and geog though whilst also hating maths - it's not like its particularly hard or anything, I have just completely lost interest and so decided I'm dropping it at the end of the year - cannot wait!
  4. Haha, don't worry - I kinda forgot too.
Woo! None of the top top unis do dentistry so I won't even be applying to any of the ones you're thinking! (unless I have a sudden change of heart and decide to do Biology or something really). Yeah, they probably would - showing you're a "keen and dedicated" student no doubt :') I haven't got any w/e yet but I've got some planned (I need a minimum of 2weeks so). You? (can you even get w/e for economics?!)
How're you finding a-levels so far?
  5. I can't Rep right now, but I'll do it tomorrow for a good debate on Hiroshima/Nagasaki
  6. but they don't so King's is the dream at the moment! Yourself?
  7. Haha, the words of a natural linguist :') but I get where you're coming from about French tbh. LOL, wish I had an excuse/reason like that - but nevermind, no more english for me / (dunno if I'll miss it yet!) hmmm, don't know if AS'll be easy, but regardless I'll try and make myself do the work :') hahaa, I was a super-crammer-days-before-an-exam/wing-the-exam kind of student at gcse tbh! Hahaaa, not me - maybe I would be if they offered dentistry...
  8. thestudentroom seems to think I've written too much as well!

Hmmm, not too sure about that! I’ll just have to work my socks off for A-Level maths… I became so lazy towards the end of year11 it was unbelievable – it’s a wonder I got the grades I did tbh. Haha, and it’s a good plan to learn them outside of school instead (: Yuppp, I go to a grammar school – and I was fairly diligent in year9/10 but it just went downhill from there LOL. You?
  9. Haha, the only section of physics I liked was the electromagnetic spectrum ‘cuz it was pretty cool (and our teacher used a song from youtube to teach it to us :’)) Oh dear, we had covers like that for French and the class would just do so terribly so when our teacher came back she was just like “why is my class so dumb now?” but obviously didn’t voice her thoughts quite like that :’) I would LOVE to be able to speak fluent French, but not do it at A-Level incase I got a bad grade whilst on my road to fluency (if that’s a word!). Haha, and as if you’re so good at English now – rub it in the face of all those born here hehe :’)
  10. haha, oh I love science - well apart from physics, that is a bore :') omg, I'd love to be that good at languages to do three in year 12  that's so impressive! & it's so cool you were born in Italy! :') & I'm doing geog, chem, bio and maths - but I'm not too sure about maths now, I did well at gcse but I just feel like it'd be too hard for me at A-Level as I'm not really the "maths-y" type, but I guess I'll find out soon enough lol. & you have so many subjects on your plate for this year, you must be so clever
