Hey! Good to hear from you . Yes, I'm back in England now - I got back yesterday, actually! How are things at your end? Glad you're managing to keep the fasts - that must be really tough, but I'm impressed with your dedication! How are you enjoying the holidays?

You'll be glad to hear that I experienced no racism at all in Australia . And while there are some extremely prejudiced people out there, everyone I met was friendly and welcoming.

Unfortunately not :/ I just came back from roughly 2 weeks of camping down south in the Isle of Wright

The sad thing is, the same thing is said of England, in terms of teenage alcohol abuse, pregnancy and general hooliganism. The fact is that everywhere has its own miscreants, but they are almost always in the minority. People just tar a whole country by a brush made from the lesser - and in this case, very minority - group.

My view may change if someone's overtly racist to me, but I hope not. Best to maintain perspective about these things.

Oooh, good luck with Ramadan! I've seen how tough it can be - a friend of mine is Muslim, and when I lived with him I got an insight into what it's like.

The stereotypical Aussie is supposed to be racist, but I've actually found them to be very friendly people so far. As with all generalisations, in real life it seems that only a select few actually fulfill them! In this case, that's a good thing.

Haha, thanks . You were right - as was everyone else who had more faith in me than I did haha. Now I'm on holidays - currently in Australia, actually - and then I start work in July . I am sure your exams went better than you think - best of luck with those. Do you have much planned for the summer?
