  1. Hye, yes I am looking to trade places with a single ensuite room at LP. But the prob is, my room is a single studio room with kitchen facilities so nope, it is not a catered room as your friend might prefer.

I'm going for value over social. I'm hoping for somebody with a reversed priority to swap with

You're going to International Hall too right
  2. Hello

It is difficult to advise someone on which hall is "preferable" because they are all so different in many ways. None is perfect in every way, so wherever you go, you will make compromises - and different people will find different compromises acceptable for different benefits.

I would say the main benefits of each hall are:

Connaught - sociable, on-site bar, small hall where most people know each other.
Canterbury - also a small hall, more modern than Connaught, secure, one of the quieter halls, fewer people to a bathroom.
International - out of these three, the most modern (both for facilities and for bedrooms), a very large hall so perhaps not so intimate as Conn/Cant but there will definitely be a group of friends for you somewhere amongst so many. More postgrads that Conn/Cant.

College Hall - fully renovated in 2007 - is the most modern out of all the intercollegiate halls and has the nicest rooms and (probably) the cleanest facilities.
