  1. Well, we only have it in certain things, most of the time its pops's decision ( Dad ). Yeh this summer I'm going to research more into pharmacy, go to open days, ive applied to a few jobs, got one interview so far at Odeon Then i need to get some work exp for pharmacy to strengthen my application... busy times
I would say my family is religious hamdulillah as in prayer, zakat, sadaqa, saum, behaviour, clothing, going to mosque regurlarly etc I mean we are the " modern " Muslims, who live peacefully in a 99% white area and we just mind our own business and Deen kinda people haha, every Muslim who lives in a predominantly western country should be like that ( Not " death to amreekaa anz eurobbaa" kinda Muslims haha but yeh religious is a rather complex term :P the good thing about UK is that you can have your islamic identity ( clothing, behaviour, views ) and you're protected :P ( unless u go shoutin death to kuffaar kinda stuff )

Hahaa aw, well I hope you find new builders soon we got our house extended last year and we went through soo many builders until we found a decent one :|

And aw haha family democracy, I wish we had that :P haha. My sister (she's 13) is going to Iran in the summer holidays again but I'd rather stay home and try and do work-related things, plus save the money.

So are your family pretty religious then? Just curious. I know 'religious' is a bit of an abstract term because it depends how one interprets it but yanno. And you're the rich one then!! Haha. I live in Liverpool
  3. InshAllah your family will get from Allahs Risq accordingly, and like you said, we are very lucky to live in this part of the world ( in terms of standard of living anyway ), so Hamdulillah

Yeh its actually hilarous that as we speak my dads shoutin down the phone cos one of the builders stopped working on our garden cottage cos he wasnt happy with the deal. ( Arab way - accept deal and money, and then go ape during the construction and not finish it lool )
Oh well, he'll find a new set of builders inshAllah.
We go regurlarly each year hamdulillah, its a guaranteed holiday every year ! We had the chance to go april or this Ramadan, i dont like to travel during Ramadan but just concentrate in the Deen for the entire month so me ( and my mum ) voted not to go. ( family democracy haha )

I'm from Berkshire, near Ascot and Windsor ( all the posh rich places haha, though i live in a " middle class " area ) how bout youuu ?
  4. Hamdulillah, my mum is also a convert !

You must be very well off if your dads a doctor I was last in Morocco in april We're currently building our own villa in the countyside wooo, InshAllah it'll be done in 2-3 years.

Cant wait to swim in the pool and hear birds singin in the heat And yeh i know right, nobody seems to have extra money atm, government isnt helping the cause :P
  5. Thats good MashAllah, the only advice I can give with Law is be careful ! Because decisions/judgings are made based on your work ( whether you want to be a solicitor, lawyer, judge etc ) But aslong as your intention is pure you'll be fine InshAllah, me personally I never wanted that responsibility, Pharmacy is enough, too much of something can get someone killed XD
And is there a Muslim family in the whole world who DOESNT want their children to become doctors lol. Marrakesh is nice, I havent actually been there that many times ( 2-3 ) but its BOILING hot in the summer, literally 45-50 degrees
Is one of your parents a convert ?
  6. Hamdulillah I finished last week aswell, I'm doing the usual arab/asian subject choice Biology, chemistry, maths and physics. InshAllah I'm going to study Pharmacy ( or chemical engineering ) but I'm 80% sure for Pharmacy, its everything Medicine offers without the drawbacks in my opinion
Where abouts did you go in morocco ?
  7. Haha yeh, there are very few Moroccans around in the UK, I'm actually half moroccan half finnish living in the UK so im kinda mixed haha, you finished AS yet ?
  8. MashAllah, very good reply in the thread about Finances at university.
