I actually started this particular game as manager of Ukraine's U-21 side, which went well, and decided to go into club management after two seasons. I think the first job gave a something of a headstart on which players to sign but I've mostly been focussing on young Ukrainian players in recent times. The 7 foreign player limit was something I struggled a bit to get around initially, but it's going pretty well now. Won comfortably in the Third Qualifying round of the Europa League, and now face Steuea in the fourth round (not sure I'll get past them!). I do think we've been over achieving but that's not too bad for the progression of my youngsters! Just need them to get to stick together, that's all.

Which is pretty reminiscent of Arsenal, isn't it. Disappointed with RvP, but I'm still pretty enthusiastic going into the season, which is a marked difference from this time last year! How's Eduardo doing, by the way? I can't seem to find a decent piece on him, just outdated stats. I loved him when he was at Arsenal, gutted when he couldn't return to his previous standards.

Do continue to post about the Ukrainian league in the European/World Football Thread! It's always great to have some good inside knowledge on things.

I'm sure you've done fine. I've been all right, just waiting eagerly for the new season to begin. It might also interest you that I've been playing in the Ukrainian League in Football Manager, just having taken Tavria to a Europa League place. Do you play FM?

How did your exams go?

Hey, I watched your game against England yesterday, and thought you guys were unlucky not to win it: even apart from the disallowed goal, I thought you guys were the better team and played very well. I've been impressed with Ukraine's performances over the tournament - particularly yesterday and against Sweden - and am disappointed you guys had to exit in the group stages.

Haha it would be rude of me not to! My surname is Ukrainian and my grandad would have a portrait of Taras Shevchenko in his front room and tell me lots of stories of growing up in Ukraine. So although I don't know the language that well, I'm quite proud of my link to your country

You should post more often if you have the time. Even when people don't respond to your posts, it's probably because they don't know much about the Ukrainian league; there'll be people, including me and several others enthusiastic (and much more knowledgeable than me ) about world football, who will be interested in getting an inside opinion on the Ukrainian league.
