You got 108/120 UMS in Lit B 1, but you didn't get 90% of the raw marks. You got 58 raw marks, which is 69%, and were awarded 90% of the UMS marks, which was an A grade, and an A* as you previously thought. You can see this from this site:

Just enter the information it asks for and enter a random mark when it asks you for one. Then scroll down to the tables where is says 108 UMS was 58 raw marks out of 84, being 69% that you actually got in that paper.

Do not say that grade boundaries are 'ridiculous'. If 80% raw marks were an A, you would have only gotten a C grade in that paper at 69%.
