I'm so sorry, I didn't see you'd sent me these messages! And I guess you've already been to the thing, so you know what it was all like... they only asked me about stuff on my personal statement and people wore normal civvy clothes, so to speak, so I imagine you had the same experience? Sorry I missed these messages

I promised I'd tell you about the Nottingham Visit Day, and I'm a man of my word. It happened today, so here's the low-down:

- Went to a big talk with the admissions tutor (Mr Merryfield). Very informative chap, told you all about the course - also informed you that everyone in the Ucas Visit Day would indeed be getting an offer. Standard offer is AAA, although Nottingham are good in that they'll also accept A*AB as an equivalent achivement (good if you're shaky on your third A-Level). There IS an 'informal chat'; you all get assigned to a professor who'll talk with you for about 15 mins. It's a sort of interview, but they said the only times it's used is to discriminate between candidates who haven't quite made the grades if they have some places left on the course - so they do make little notes about you. Mine was fine, he just asked about the OU Course I did on the personal statement; nothing to worry about, it's a very non-pressured environment. You'll go on tours of the whole campus, the physics department, and some of the student accomodation. Any other questions, don't hesitate to ask
