Noticed your post in the accent thread; nice to see someone still has that accent - I thought it had all but died.
Something like Jinnah's I gather?
-
Thankyou so much. So verb tables are the first step then?
-
I wish I could do Latin. In year eight a textbook was dumped in front of me when I finished my ICT course early, but you need a real desire, or reference. Are there any works you would advise to get stuck into learning Latin?

cont.
I obviously agree with you on abortion and withdrawal of treatment for the elderly, being inflicted upon another person and would be tempted to extend it to volentary euthanasia seeing as one of its effects is that it naturally leads to a culture where involentary euthanasia becomes common (such as in Holland). I also agree with you on divorce, homosexuality and promiscuity but am tempted not to agree with you on contraception. Why you may ask? Simply because it creates a culture which fosters acceptability of abortion; a the former Director of Planned Parenthood has admitted. Your thoughts?
Also if you wanna give me a hand in this thread then feel free. I'm probably not doing the best job

Thanks for the reply. However, I asked you to be mindful of the Catechism and this clearly says:
2354 Pornography consists in removing real or simulated sexual acts from the intimacy of the partners, in order to display them deliberately to third parties. It offends against chastity because it perverts the conjugal act, the intimate giving of spouses to each other. It does grave injury to the dignity of its participants (actors, vendors, the public), since each one becomes an object of base pleasure and illicit profit for others. It immerses all who are involved in the illusion of a fantasy world. It is a grave offense. Civil authorities should prevent the production and distribution of pornographic materials.
Does your opinion change now?

I really like your posts on here. You have class! can I ask, did you read Latin based on you being a catholic, or was it taught at school?
-
Hi, quick question. As a Catholic and a Libertarian, like myself, what's your opinion on banning pornography, being mindful of what the Catechism says?
-
Awesome. Shows determination. I guess with italian, seeing as it's a living language you can immerse yourself in it and it's somewhat easier to learn.
-
I agree, and I really wish I could. I've tried my hand at Italian and am trying to teach myself, albeit very slowly. It's just knowing how to do it and what methods to use
-
Good points. I guess the only people privileged enough to read his work will be those who are willing to learn how, and learn Latin. Though that must be a lot of effort, learning a dead language.
