Hi Flicker,
I'm a Canadian student interested in applying to Pg Diploma at Speech Therapy at City University London this year. I've seen your posts about info regarding canadian and us students applying. They were really helpful! I was wondering if you knew what their stats were like when they applied such as gpa average, volunteer experience? Do you know canadian students currently in the program, how do they find it? Are they having any issues with required courses to practise out of the UK? Do they have to stay in the Uk for a year before leaving? Any info is very appreciated.
Thanks,
Meera

Hi Flicker,
Really hope you don't mind me messaging you! Like all of the people below me, I've noticed that you post quite often with advice for applying to Explore Learning. I'm through to the final assessment day and I am quite nervous about it!
On the day, I complete two interviews and give a marketing presentation about how I would use a remote marketing unit. I also do a role-play as if I was pitching to a teacher of a school. I'll also be doing a surprise individual task and some group work. Do you have any advice for how to succeed on the day? From the interview and looking around the centres everybody seems to really enjoy working for the company so getting the job is so important to me.
I completely understand if you are fed up of these messages - I'm just going out on a limb. If you're not in a position to give advice then just want to commend you for all of the advice you've posted in threads already - it's really kind and make a lot of people feel much better!
Thanks,
Clare xx

Hi, I saw your post on one of the forums about speech and language therapy?
And I was wondering whether I can speak to you about it? So, I really would LOVE to go to City University and do the SALT course! But I understand that the entry grades are A*AA or AAB and a C at AS. I'm predicted a BBC and I'm really scared about not making the grades. For my Law AS, I got a D but I don't think I'll re take it because despite the fact of revising for months for law, I still someone I get a D :| I was also doing the EPQ but dropped it, mainly because it would just be too much for me.
This is because I'm retaking both my AS sociology exams and on top of that revising for my january exams. Also, my brother has autism with difficulties in speech and understanding so I tend to do therapy with him. Work experience wise, I only have worked in a nursery for a week but there was a child with autism and I was able to interact with him etc. Work experience is really hard to get right now and it is frustrating getting turned down each time..
Was just wondering what were your thoughts on the above Q~Q Would really love to hear from you

Hi,
I noticed on previous posts that you had been working for Explore Learning as an Assistant Director and just wondered if you would be able to give me any advice for the interview? I have one coming up and would really love to be successful in getting the job.
Thank you! Hannah

Hi Flicker...
I have an interview with Explore and was wondering if you had any advice for it? I noticed you have posted about this topic many times but I haven't actually found any information about what would be in the interviews and so have no idea how to prepare for it. I'm sure you get hassled with these messages all the time but any advice would be brilliant
Thanks!!

Hi, Are you still active on this account and still working for explore learning? I noticed some of your posts on a thread to do with the company. I'd like some advice if you are still availible.

Hi - I noticed on the board that you work with Explore learning. I was interested if you had any tips on the process - I have a 1st stage interview coming up for the Assistant Director Role and am slightly concerned about the sales role play as I don't have huge experience in doing sales. Do you have any advice as to what it is like or what they are looking for?
