About me

Officially registered with Kent Union in 2004 The University of Kent Islamic Society (ISOC) has existed with the objective to cater for the spiritual, social and academic wellbeing of Muslim students on campus, for the sake of Allah, the Most High.

The ISOC holds regular meetings and aims to arrange various events including: Charity week, Islamic awareness week, debates, lectures, socials, sporting events, film/documentary screenings and interfaith events. The ISOC also aims to widen awarness of and demistify Islam amongst our non-Muslim neighbours, especially in the current climate where Islamophobia is on the rise.

The ISOC is affiliated to Kent Union, the umbrella body for all societies at The University of Kent, and also to the Federation of Student Islamic Societies (FOSIS), the umbrella body for Islamic Societies in the UK.
