I firmed St Andrews on saturday morning! Such a relief to just have decided haha I did exactly the same with Glasgow I'd be like "glasgow... ... ... but at St Andrews!..." Yeah I recon we'd all feel like that, but once you'er there it'll become your uni

You say better but that's rubbish cause you got an offer from Cardiff and they rejected me Though I got a letter saying they'd put me on the waiting list wooo I'm exactly the same! I'm like 90:10 with St Andrews to Glasgow but I think it's more nerves of "am I making the right choice?" that's making the me hesitate but tbh it's probably St Andys

Yeah if the Durham med school was actually in durham then I would have definetly applied there! But cause it's stockton/teeside it's not as good. Cardiff is a beaut city though Eeeeh good luck with the decision

690 is a pretty good ukcat! I managed to get an interview with 632.5 ukcat and AAABC at AS (B in Chem whoops ) If you're worried about your AS grades as far as I know they don't actually take AS grades into account and go on GCSE's. So hopefully as long as your gcse's and ps check out you should hopefully get an interview

No worries about the stalker thing, I'm the exact same Tbh I think you shouldn't rank too bad in final rankings as long as everything else is ok. In my feedback the main reasons (I think) was my final ranking due to ukcat and my lack of non-academics. Just kick ass in your interview and I think you should be alright fingers crossed anyways

Ah cool, I wondered if it'd just been reapplicants who got interviews now but I guess I was wrong You must have good academics and a good ps for them to give you an interview without officially getting your ukcat

Nah, all the stuff they'll ask you, you should be able to get from text otherwise it'd be pretty unfair (although I was lucky because the article I got was closely related to my extended project which helped a bit :P )

I'm not sure how they're doing it cause someone who sent theres the day of the deadline got an acknowledgement a few days after, yet I sent mine on 30th Sept Meh I'll never fully understand addmissions

High-5 for Cardiff! I applied there too, as well as Glasgow and Manc If you don't mind me asking what's your ukcat like? I'm assumign it must be good for them to give you an itnerview now cause they have a cut off point so they must've known you've cleared it

Haha it's fine, I did the exact same last year Mines was just one off the BBC, something to do with genetic testing roughly from about a month before (so I'm keeping a very keen eye on bbc health from now on!)

I remember them asking about scientific stuff cause I think they accept that you've got the grades, you'll be fine (though don't quote me).

Where else have you applied to? The only one thats not acknowledged me is Manchester. Although, funnily enough St. Andrews still havn't acknowledged me (officiallu) I've just been sent an interview email lol

The interview wasn't too bad I had one last year and the interviewers I got were really friendly and just tried to bring out the best in you and help you along You may have already read what it says on the website, but you'll get an article to read for about 10 minutes and you'll then get asked questions on it. I was dead worried about that bit cause my memory's crap but they let you take the sheet in and look at it which was helpful - and they do try and point you in the right direction.

And they asked me (not sure about others) about my volunteering rather than w/e, what I knew about the course, what my opinion was on dissections, think they asked me something ethical like what I'd do if I had one liver and X, Y and Z patients each with different senarios. And other stuff that I can't really remember.

I'm not sure if this is much help or not (particularly as I don't know what other interviewers asked) but hopefully there's something of use there
