I've been asking around a few threads, although the Lib Dems probably seem the most appealing at the minute. Still formulating my real political opinions, but I'd say I'm centre left (maybe leaning towards the centre on certain economic issues). Had considered the Libertarians, but they're probably to economically extreme for me so it's more a question of Labour vs Lib Dem. Where do TSR Labour stand on Europe? (if you know)

Hey,
Are you a member/planning to join a party in the MHoC. Saw your first petition (which was excellent), but not sure if you're affiliated with any party yet

FDR can thank Thomas Jefferson for the favourable view history has of him. When Jefferson was asked how he would make sure only good men become the president he responded with
Let no more be heard of confidence in men, but rather bind them down by the chains of the Constitution
If it had not been the constitution binding FDR down I should think he would have gone down in history as another leftist dictator.
I like classical liberalism because I believe that human beings are not sacraficial animals whos only purpose of their existance is to be used for the common good. And in addition I do not think that institution that operates on the use of force should be encourage to be involved in the affairs of men. I also think the only way man will and has improved his state is through voluntary exchange and not government compulsion.
