Ahh right! Don't worry, most people hadn't at my open day either, only me and one other girl. We both live far away from London (I live in S. Wales and she lives in Blackpool), so I'm assuming UCL though that we wouldn't be able to come and just gave us the offers. What's your combination?

You're not being a pain don't worry. The compulsory modules in year one are Making of Modern France (History basically), French Film (art cinema), Reading French texts (Bit of 19th century poetry, Racine's play Phedre and Montaigne's essays) and Medieval and Renaissance Lit. Then we also get to pick two 'Elcs' modules of which there are a huge range to choose from and there are a fair few linguistics ones. They are for one term only so you if you're really interested in linguistics you could pick a different one for each term and that way be getting some linguistics in all year round. In second year you have much more free reign over what you do as first year gives an overall introduction to everything, so you could probably make it even more linguistics based if you wanted to. Also wohn ja auch in Surrey und zwar in der Nähe von Guildford, kennsch das Gegend? Spanisch und Deutsch bei Magdalen aber Deutsch isch ja natürlich meine große Liebe Ich lerne übrigens die Sprache seit...naja ung. 6 Jahren aber musste jahrenlang alles selbst lernen -.- Besuche ne normale Schule mit circa 1600 Schüler, ganz groß -.-

Also zusätzliche Bücher, hm. In der Schule lesen wir "Ich fühl mich so fifty fifty" aber dieses Buch hass ich doch, einfach so dumm, mann kan gar nix davon interpretieren Meine große Interesse liegt dann in Goethe, insbesondere seine Liebesgedichte, aber ich interessiere mich auch für derzeitige Literatur, zB David Wagner. Du?
