    FYI, my son and I both fell in love with Johns Hopkins, but now, my son says that even if he got in off the wait list, he would still go to St Andrews. Also, fyi, my brother's friend had a son who went to St Andrews, and that father told me that he could have gotten his son into Harvard as a transfer student, because he has powerful connections, but the son loved St Andrews so much that he didn't want to make the move. And didn't. So tell your son and your husband that. Neither my son or I have visited St Andrews, so he is going there totally cold. Did your family visit?
