Hi I've got a Bristol Interview soon and I'm really nervous I was wondering if you could give me any tips on what to expect? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you so much x

thats exactly what i was thinkng.... it would be so nice to have a year to not have to focus on getting the grades and stuff! haha
i dont really feel mature enough either tbh haha and i was thinking of doing exactly what youv done! although id probs learn spanish cos i already know french haha to be honest, if i get a rejection from bristol, i dont know if i will be relieved or dissappointed because obvious i want to get in, but i actually really want a gap year hahaha :P

Thank you! Aww bad times! I didn't really mature enough to go straight into a medical degree and I wanted more life skills and experience outside of education. So far I've spent it doing full time work mostly, at ASDA and as a care assistant at a care home, so I've just been saving my money and I've also been learning French because I'll be going to Madagascar in June for 2 and a half months to volunteer in a hospital in a rural village (SO excited!!). I've found taking a gap year has been a nice opportunity to get away from the stress of exams and learning but also to be able to learn stuff from having a job etc

Hehe that's ok aww sorry to hear about the rejections! I'm on a gap year now and I'm loving it! Well I got an email from Bristol saying they are going to make a decision in April (so basically it didn't go so well :P) and I have an interview at Newcastle a week today... I haven't heard from Cardiff and Nottingham yet.. I'd love to go to Cardiff or Bristol though! I just so want an offer because otherwise I will have to take another gap year.. which one is fine but I dont really want to take two :P

woah! Well done!! I got 3 A*'s and 10 A's at GCSE so you can see why I didn't apply to Bham! Well you have so much work experience in various settings that I think you have a really great chance!! I did w/e GP, care home (voluntary help and then paid carer), youth group, and then i was a peer tutor in biology as well so you have far more w/e than me! I think that i tried to make up for less w/e with more extracurricular stuff, but i think what you have is absolutely fine, and your w/e is amazing!
There is still plenty of time to hear from your uni's, Bristol has only just started giving out interviews!! Don't give up Where would be your first choice if you could have it?

hey! thank you I have A*AAA A Levels (I'm taking a gap year) and extra curricular stuff was black belt in Tae Kwon-Do, I play the flute and I'm a youth leader, I was a girl guide and I have learnt to drive is what I put down!
Don't worry there is still plenty of time to get an interview, what grades/extracurricular do you have? Where have you applied? xx
