  1. Mm, you need to be careful though, as mutas are quite... jenky.

If you get 15-20 of them then they're ridiculous, because they can cut through turrets, clear bases of all its workers in under 5 seconds, etc. Really fast, can flick between the enemy's main base and expansion really easily whilst his defense huffs and puffs the long way around, etc. The problem is that mutalisks need to be used CONSTANTLY, otherwise the enemy will move out and attack you. You need to keep them in their base whilst you expand once or twice, and then once you have 2 or 3 bases more than them (remember zerg must always be 1 base ahead of a non-zerg opponent) then you can get all your mutalisks killed, and use the free supply to make stronger units. If you cease your harass whilst you expand, your enemy might take the time to attack you and then you're buggered, since mutalisks are pretty bad in straight fights
  2. Roaches are the standard units to build against a protoss' stalkers/sentry/zealot force. And I hate that you're building mutalisks, but they're so stupidly overpowered against low-skill players it's ridiculous

Well, sole friend on SC, outside of that I'm doing just fine

Yeah maybe, I'm hoping to get on in the day when I've done some work.
  4. :console: My only friends are my real-life buddies playing WoW, and you, so don't feel like you're alone!

I should be online a fair bit today and tomorrow, maybe see you!
  5. Click on the friend's tab on the bottom right, click add friend. Then click add character friend and enter my details in
  6. :O If you forgot about mutas then you're my bestest Starcraft friend ever!! :awesome:

I hated mutas when I play vs. Zerg, if you build up a big enough mass of them they're just impossible to stop clearing mineral lines, killing the couple of turrets they place and just wrecking their life xD
  7. You'll want to use mutalisks as a transitory unit, from around the 10 minute mark. Basically tanks are INCREDIBLE against ground units if they siege properly, so you have to build air or get units that can tank a lot of damage & close the gap quickly (ie ultralisks, but they're too bloody slow).

Against terran you want to be harassing him 24/7, since they generally get tanks which are so static. If he sieges in the middle of the map just attack his base with lings and mutas, and if he unsieges then charge in with your army and squash it

At least, that's how it works in principle
  8. I believe your name is private to you and you alone, I've only ever seen in-game names of people. You may have noticed that when you add a friend you can either add them using their account email address or their character name. Using the email address will show you the person's real life name, and show them as online even if they're playing WoW or Diablo
But if I add "Krazy #" then I'll only see that information

Hmm, better not build infestors against tanks, because a siege line will just wreck them since tanks outrange infestors (if I recall correctly). But you could research burrow and then use infestors as harassment units, burrowing to the enemy's mineral lines, surfacing, and then killing everything with fungals and infested marines
As a general rule vs Terran, build infestors if they're going exclusively Marine, Marauder, Medivac. Since the fungals WRECK marines, and let your zergling/banelings support force swarm around and annihilate them. Build broodlords vs. mech, and maybe a few infestors to mind-hook any Thors (but that's getting far too advanced :p: )

and ok, no problem! I'll catch you sometime soon for some games Just post on here when you're free, since I spend most days coming straight home from work
  9. .. cont. The trick is to build enough spine crawlers, I reckon. They're so good combined with roaches, and you can even bring both queens to the natural to transfuse the spines if need be, to heal them

Maybe we can play tomorrow and I can spectate you playing vs the AI? I'd be available from 3/4pm until around 7pm, thanks to this time difference
  10. I'm Fyreblade 294

Infestors are definitely a late-game unit, you shouldn't really be looking to build them until at least the 15-minute mark, I'd reckon. The reason for this is because they're expensive and quite vulnerable, so you need to have the income and army large enough to protect them. Plus the transition period where you're stopping roach/ling production and starting to build infestors leaves you quite vulnerable to attack. To beat the AI on medium you probably need to early expand (as a rule, zerg should always have at least one more base than their enemy) and then produce ling/roach. Maybe build a couple of spine crawlers at your base and you'll be absolutely fine
One thing that is hugely important is to not get supply blocked. I completely underestimated how much damage it was doing to my builds until I started timing things, and one supply block could make my stuff at late as 30/60 seconds, which is huge when it comes down to really specific early build orders.

I'd suggest you try building your expansion as your first building, followed by your zergling pool on 14 supply (you might have to halt building workers, but it's compensated for by getting a fast expansion). Then keep building workers, get a queen for each base as soon as the pool finishes, and build 2 spine crawlers at your natural. If you sent your overlord to their base at the start then have it hang around and try and spot when they're looking ready to attack, at which point you can build mainly roaches and a few zerglings (since roaches can attack whilst keeping under the spine crawlers, making your defense more effective). When you're getting attacked just build soldiers constantly and you should defend safely, and then quickly counter-attack! If your counter-attack fails then you can either expand and get map control with zerglings and overlords or keep hitting them with units until they break
