  1. Hi newinhere,
If you could private message me your email address, I can arrange for you to speak to someone in the department.
    Many thanks,
    Sabi
  2. Well, of course, that would be awesome if it is possible. I was actually hoping that current students would describe their experience, but I guess talking with someone in the department would be even more valuable.
  3. Hello,

I have a question that I would like to address to you, because unfortunately I didn't get a response to my message in the 'my application' system. I have an offer for the Politics, Philosophy and Law course and most probably I'll be firming it. The only thing that worries me is that the course would not let me satisfy my passion for languages. I've been studying French and German for many years now and I would like to continue with at least one of these languages, and to reach a near native fluency by the time I graduate. I would like to know whether it would be possible for me to take some Language modules as a part of my course at King's, and if yes, how much is that going to cost. Another thing that I am curious about is if there is an opportunity to do a short exchange in a French university to practice my language skills, get to know their culture, etc. If you could answer any of these questions, I would be immensely grateful. Thank you in advance.

  6. Hello,

I applied for undergraduate nutrition course as an international student (I’m from Croatia) and I still don’t have any qualifications because I’m currently attending the final year of grammar school. In Croatia, when we finish our last year in high school, we have to take 3 main subjects in our Matura (it’s like final exam) but we can choose between lower (B) or higher (A) level (maths, Croatian language and English as second language – I took all of them on higher level- AAA) and if we want, we can take other subjects (max 6) depends what we are going to study, and I took biology, chemistry and physics. I will write final exams in June and I’ll get the results in July but I will finish my school on May 17 so I’m interesting how the admission will consider my application, will the look for my grades or my finals?
    Thank you for your help
    Andrea

  8. Hi everybody,

I've been given a conditional offer for Bsc in Children's nursing starting september 2013 Any other nursing or midwifery students out there? x
  9. I am interested in doing a degree next year in Law LLB at Kings college.I am considering doing an Access Course at Kingston College in September, in Humanities, Social Science, Teaching, Business and Law and want to ask whether this is a suitable requirment for this particular degree.I have also retaken my GCSE's & have achieved 5 A*-C.And also i should mention, I was unable to complete my A levels due to personal reasons but was adviced that Access Course is an equivalent qualification & as I am a mature student, this would be a more convenient way.My main concern is as i have retaken GCSE's,would this affect the chances of a place & If i may need more qualifications, such as work experience or perhaps A-Levels.Thank you and hope to hear from you soon.
  10. Hello there,

I recently received an offer for dentistry at Kings and wanted to know when the booking for accommodation will begin? and if students face problems in getting accommodation in the case that they apply late for this?

King’s is one of the top 30 universities in the world (2011/12 QS world university rankings), and was The Sunday Times 'University of the Year 2010/11'. We’re a research-led university based in the heart of London, with nearly 23,500 students (and more than 9,000 of these are postgraduate students) from almost 140 countries. We’re also in the second phase of a £1 billion redevelopment programme which is transforming our estate and facilities.

King's, home to nine schools, has a great reputation in the humanities, law, the sciences (including a wide range of health areas) and social sciences. You’ll find that we have played a major role in many of the advances that have shaped modern life, such as the discovery of the structure of DNA and research that led to the development of radio, television, mobile phones and radar. We’re also the largest centre for the education of healthcare professionals in Europe; no university has more Medical Research Council Centres than us.
