Im really sorry but I havnt got a clue about how lenient they are sorry! I'd had a gap year so already had my a levels when i got my offer, and i dont know of anyone who missed their grade and got in but only because its not really ever come up in conversation! I suppose it might depend which subject its in... but i cant really help with that!

and about books, most of my a level text books were lent by my sixth form anyway so couldnt bring them, but you get a list of required textbooks to buy for the course and they have anything youd need to know in them also on the subject of books, my advice is dont buy them before you go! i was too eager and got mine off amazon before i started and it cost a fortune, only to arrive and find old students/places selling them much cheaper! they dont expect you to have them straight away and if you cant find any amazon is always there as a last resort and theres loads of them in the library!

ah thank you i also have offers from UEA, Southampton and Portsmouth. So I think at the moment It's tied between Sheffield and UEA for my firm choice and Kent for my insurance. Where have you applied?
