Hi there! Sorry I took so long to get back to you I have been extremely busy with coursework deadlines, last year of school sucks haha
I visited Leeds a few days and I loved the city, more than Birmingham actually. But choosing between the two unis was very hard, Aston is a great uni and the campus is great as well but so is Leeds. I hate having to choose two top unis.
Anyway, I firmed Leeds and insuranced Aston. But the Aston staff told me that my accommodation is not guaranteed if i make it my insurance. Do you know whether there are usually fully booked accommodation housing?
Oh thats great! I think I am going to get a NUS card when I start uni in September. Can't wait till I start a new chapter in my life, it must be fun!

Hi do you know what a NUS card is? & does Aston give it to its students? x

hey! so you're doing two languages plus business? omg that must be hard!
i LOVED the university and the bullring! i literally cannot wait to move there. but i also got an offer from leeds, so im going to visit that first before making my firm and insurance choices i actually thought aston was an old, rundown campus but its very new and the accommodation blocks were very nice as well i loved the james watt one! which accommodation are you in? they told me that stafford tower is not available for 2013/2014 entry, thats great, i didnt like the look of it from the outside haha. the lecture hall where the presentations took place were very modern and clean as well! you're so lucky to be there

Nope, yeah probably a good idea to just call.
Yeah, IBML with French and Portuguese. Yeah it's quite nice!
Hmm, I'm not sure.. I mean the city is quite big so the centre probably covers quite a big area! I think the Bullring is like the shopping part of the centre, and then there are other parts too (but I only ever go to the area around the Bullring personally!). Hmm it's up to you really and what you want to do Bullring is within walking distance, and it's close to the train stations (new street is literally attached to the bullring, you don't even have to go outside to get there), nice shops, nice food, etc.
Aw it's really no problem!

No it's Helen McGuirk I emailed haha do you know her? I think I'm just going to give them a call
really? And you study a business degree with a language right? But the main building looks good in pictures so I wouldn't mind having all the classes there haha
i was actually planning on going to the city centre on the open day morning and then taking a taxi from there to Aston or walking even. If I want to get a taste of th city, would you recommend I go to the city centre or the bull ring? Because the bullring isn't in the centre right?
thank you so much! You have no idea how much help you are

That's great as I'm going to go on my own to the open day yes the staff sent me an email with the day itinerary an dots exactly like you just said. The day ends with a campus tour and in the beginning there are a few speeches from course director and past students. Do you know how I can find out where I'm supposed to report on the open day? In the reception or somewhere else? I emailed the course director who sent me the itinerary but she never replied back.
Really? I was thinking the business lectures are held in the business school wow this is a shock haha the building seems gorgeous! Thank you I hope I travel back home safely after visiting the university. Do you know any areas that I should avoid when I'm taking a tour of the city? I'm traveling alone so I should take extra safety measurements haha. Thanks

Haha thank you! I'm going to the open day on Wednesday, not sure what to expect. I'm not going with any friends so I'm scared everyone else will be with their friends and i won't have anyone to be with. Do you know where the open day starts? In the main building reception or the business school? (I have an offer for intl. business with economics) so scared to be living alone for the first time in such a big city.
