  1. yeah that's what my teacher said as well - it just sounds like a lot when you're starting. so by the change in character do you mean the change in target, and fewer auto-de-fe's?
    I definitely agree with the internal suppression, but you could look at people like Teresa of Avila who was so strongly spiritual that the Inquisition distrusted her.

  2. I agree with that, but there's so many factors to include that concluding is a pain. Mine has ended up focusing more on the earlier years of the Inquisition and the 'converso problem' so I guess that's why I'm not really using the educative aspect quite so much.
    I am definitely finding that I don't have a strong argument that links all the way through though :/

    I just saw on a post that you're doing the Spanish Inquisition for your historical enquiry and wondered how you were finding it?
    I'm doing the same subject on religious unity but was struggling with how far to incorporate the idea of education as an aid to unity?
