1) I always write down the whole number in a little table that I construct.
2)In most questions when I round I go for 2 d.p unless specified otherwise
3) not sure what you mean if you mean your final answer in trial and imp. its normally only 1 d.p
4) I doubt you would...I always have but then you give the final answer. As its only working out I don't see why you would lose marks. But if the mark scheme says to do that then I suppose we should
