Hi there,
I noticed that you applied to Cambridge (and got in!) from Scotland and was wondering if I could ask you a question about the admission process. Basically, I am currently studying 5 Highers (French, German, Modern Studies, English, History), with the intention of applying to Cambridge for MML (Russian and German) if Ii get the grades at higher. However, I was wondering how much weight is placed on Standard Grade results. For my SGs I gained 111111A(Int 2) in 7 out of my 8 subjects, however I only managed to get a 3 for SG maths. Would this count against me to the point that it could seriously weaken my application even to the point of being rejected before interview, and despite the fact that maths is totally unrelated to what I'd like to apply for? Even if I get A1s at higher level, would this not serve to overwrite the bad result, so to speak? I'm sorry I'm bombarding you with questions like this, but I would be extremely upset if I applied only to find out I'd been rejected pre-interview because of a bad SG result in a subjects that's not related to what I want to do. :s

Hey! Random question but I saw that you are doing an EPQ on social anthropology - what exactly is yours on? I'm thinking of doing the same topic but have no idea how to cut it down! Haha
