Heyy, I noticed from the freshers thread your going to Birmingham! You said to drop a message if going to Birmingham so thought I'd say hello

What will you be studying?

My decision was based on how science based the subjects were. Loughborough was only concerned with name dropping and talking about reputation, there was hardly anything in the main subject talk on the open day about the course, a brief module list. It was all about the playing of sport. I got the feeling that Loughborough did not take the subject seriously.

With Birmingham the subject was geared up to be a proper science subject which the university treated seriously and with the upmost respect. The facilities that Birmingham offered were the best, Loughborough refused to even show us into a Lab, it wasn't even being used.

Exeter was out of the running as the facilities seemed pour, three labs isn't much compared to the extensive facilities offered by Birmingham, split campus as well, having to constantly move between St Lukes campus and Streatham, as a sport science student having to move the whole time to study and then train and play was just stupid as far as I was concerned.
