  1. That sounds lovely . It is a very lovely film (despite the sad ending ). I agree completely! The cinematography is just beautiful. I love the purple flowers scene and the scene in my DP too. I must admit I don't know much about British poetry either apart from what I studied at school. Their relationship is definitely summer-like! I love how the film is gentle and fairly quiet (I don't recall much music in the soundtrack except what you mentioned) yet it is able to draw you in and captivate the audience.

I haven't seen the Piano. I'll have to buy the DVD or wait for it to be shown on TV. I love the poetry reading in Bright Star too. Ben Whishaw gets the intensity just right. He's a wonderful actor. I didn't realise he was in Brideshead Revisited. Is it the newer version? He's in a TV show that just started last year called The Hour. It's set in the 1950s and he plays a journalist working on a BBC show with a talent for getting himself into troubling situations! It's a different pace to Bright Star but Ben Whishaw is brilliant in it. I agree, he deserves to be well known .
  2. Hi! You're only the second person to notice that it's him :p:. I love that film . I remember watching it and coming away with a sense of total calm, despite how sad it was.
