hello, good luck for your interview with manchester, if you don't mind me asking what sort of questions did they ask and did you get a chance to go around with any current students?

Ah thats great, I've had my heart set on newcastle for ages but I'm glad to have someone who actually goes tell me what they think of it I know everyone says the night life in Newcastle is great and I adore the city. Its great that people from around the country go! it gives me a chance to meet some new people who've lived in different places. I think I'm going nuts having spent 17 years with geordies and mackems! The medsoc thing sounds great. Only thing I'm worried about now is how hard it seems to be to get in medicine is sooo competitive and I'm not sure what would make me stand out over the other million people who'll be applying. Do you get lots of support from the teachers and other staff? Hopefully in a few years you might see me there

Yeah I'd definitely recommend Newcastle, I really like it. I'm not sure if everyone is friendly.. I guess so haha? But yeah I love my course and my lecturers are really great (mostly). I don't do medicine but I've heard good things about the course. It also seems to be quite communal, like all the medics seem to know each other. They have all their lectures in the medical school and it has its own common room and stuff. And I think if you pay to join medsoc you get free drinks in the SU for the duration of the course.. that's about all I know about the medicine course haha. Anything else you want to know? Oh, Newcastle uni is full of Southerners by the way. I'm from Darlington, pretty much everyone else I've met is from daan south.. but it's ok
