Why are you not letting me see your thread all I get is this
"Atsushi, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:
1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation."
Me too. If they ask me really intense questions about it, I'm screwed.
As far as I know! Haha, I've got 93.2% across my top 3 - counting the AS I dropped as well! I asked the question when the Corpus admissions tutor was on here, and I'm pretty sure they said they count top 3, regardless of which ones you're studying now. Result.
Ah, cool, makes sense. That was the aim I was kind of going for too.
Hopefully so - I think I make the autopool criteria (if they haven't changed it) by .2% haha, so yeah, pooling is good by me!
And I seriously hope that's true.
Wahey! That's still good, I don't think reading excessively is going to make or break an application? As long as you're just generally staying in the loop with geography in the news etc. I guess that will still be just as much an indicator of being interested.
Physical. Not sure how sensible that is, but to be fair I'm more interested in the physical side of things, and would prefer a career down that path, so I thought I'd try and apply for BSc courses. All the others are pretty flexible - Sussex is maybe the more rigid type of BSc, but Exeter looks like you can chop and change and Reading is human and physical anyway.
What courses did you go for?
Same, though I really don't want to get my hopes up just to be disappointed. I looked at the application stats for last year and Downing got 42 applications for Geography and made 5 offers.
A bit... I've read one book that was related to a lecture I went to, then I've got another in the pipeline. I've done some other relevant bits and bobs, but I'm really not one for extra curricular stuff. What have you managed to do?
Yeah, that is the one drawback, I'll be fair. It's annoying because otherwise everything about it is perfect! I'll have to bear that in mind if I get an offer and get really excited.
Definitely! Hopefully we'll be a statistic in the near future.
Ooh, the science-y route then? I wish I'd done more sciences, it would have made applying for BSc courses so much easier.
I hate Chrome for that very reason - don't want to be reminded that my life revolves around Track and TSR, hah!
Exeter, Leeds and Sussex (+ Reading ofc). I really liked all of them, so hopefully it won't really matter if I don't get offers or not.
Ohhh, I'll have to try and spot it next time! Really? I suppose the whole idea of Cambridge is a bit 'rah'... I go to a state comp too! It might work in your favour more than anything!?
What subjects do you do?
Thaaank you! ABB too, so hopefully that's achieveable...!
God, me too. My email and Track tabs are constantly open... I briefly entertained the idea of putting Track as my homepage last week.
You've applied to really strong places though, that might be why they're taking a while. Good going! I was looking at Newcastle and it looks amazing, but I wanted to do the BSc and you needed another science on top of Geography.
Ooh, nice! I know someone at my school applying there for Chem Eng. (Is it in the main centre? I can't even place it within Cambridge, haha!)
It goes well... as well as can be 8 days after sending.
Got an offer from Reading yesterday, wahoo! And I went for Downing.
And you? Offers/what college/where else did you apply? (Ask ALL the questions...)
I do maths, Edexcel. What exam board do you do? I also do Chemistry, Further Maths and English Lit but am seriously considering dropping English Lit. Five is getting a bit too much for me and I find myself dreaming about just one free period, just one a week. In answer to your question though, nope, we've only got the dreaded physics and maths in common it seems.
Hey study buddy!
I don't know want you have in mind but I love the idea of freaking out together
