hi Steph, just wanted to ask you how you find it here so far! I haven't met anyone yet doing JCW, so thought I'd write you. I never got an email saying we'd have an induction about journalism or anything, did you get any information? where are you staying? Do you like it here?

Oh, it takes ages till it actually arrives Yeah, but I could not let my school translate it, I had to go to a sworn translator to get it translated. Oh, I hope everything goes well for you then!!

Yaaaay that's great news!!! So happy to hear that! Strathclyde requests a translation of my Abitur now but I guess after that they'll change my Conditional into an Unconditional! Also, I had some issues with SAAS, but it looks like they will be solved as well. Did you get your SAAS award letter yet?

Oh, wow that's great news I didn't know that it was formely on the other campus. But then we will possibly run into each other! Glad to hear everything went fine when you went over, did you gain a lot of new information about Strathclyde? And did you like it in general?
Wow, coming over via car would be luxury, unfortunately I have to miss out on that I will possibly fly from Düsseldorf-Weeze which also offers those cheap ryanair flights :P

Oh, have a good flight then From which airport are you flying out? (And how much luggage do you bring?) I really don't know how to bring all my stuff over in time hope my boyfriend can store some stuff. Where will you be staying over summer? xxx

Yeah, my boyfriend is Scottish He studies at the University of Edinburgh which was my first choice, but they declined me (2nd time round) for all the three courses I applied for there, and the other Uni declined me as well. So I faced the same situation But to be honest, I am very happy to go to Strathclyde now. The staff seems so helpful and kind and tries to help you where they can Yeah, maybe you do? Glasgow is a big city and you will probably have a lot of fun meeting interesting guys
Oh yes, maybe we can go out for a few drinks or something that would be really nice, especially as you seem to be a bit older as well (I'll be 21 when I start and was already worried that it might matter!) Be sure, to let me know in which accomodation they put you if you meet your offer!

I won't properly know anyone at Glasgow either. Luckily, my boyfriend is Scottish and lives near Edinburgh, so I'll see him quite a lot and when I feel alone. Many Scottish people seem to know everybody else, so some bonding a bit before can't be bad! Why did you become to Strathclyde? Did you have other choices as well? Or did you plan to go to Strathclyde from the very start?

Heeey thought I'd leave you a wee message as we seem to be in a similar situation! I am always happy to find other students wanting to study at Strathclyde - would be so helpful to people beforehand.
