Hey there,
well it really depends what version you do as like most other subjects theres different courses in it you can take. Me personally, I got given The Odyssey and Tragedy for AS and for A2 Art and Architecture and The Iliad/Aenied ... to put it in the simplest possible terms when doing the books its little more than English Literature ... you just analyse and comment on the books - what happens in them, the themes, motiffs etc. etc. that sort of thing its quite easy really especially at AS the Art i personally found quite hard though there is ALOT of dates, names and artists to remember in detail which is somewhat tricky as theres about 30 of each to remember[statues, pots etc]
I found the course quite interesting especially the books theyre quite a good read the art was **** but thats just because i hate art i would recomend it though it looks very good on UCAS applications and can be quite fun depending on your mind set but it does require a lot of work, hope i could be of assistance, if you do take it i have a fair few notes left over from them both i could give you if youre interested ?
