Just saying, you were right-I love Sheffield!

Yeah, I've definitely put a lot of consideration into doing a PhD already, having chatted to a lot of the PhD students in the department, and it sounds like there is always a good range of research topics on offer! Cardiff also has an excellent research department, and the Earth school offers the most PhDs since it has the most funding.. I love the sound of "Dr Kezzi", too! Yours definitely sounds really exciting to be working on, I hope you get a lot of enjoyment out of it.. Singapore, wow! Pretty awesome life experience, too I'm really into my photography and occasional blogging.. I haven't actually joined any societies as they're pretty much all competitive sport-related (something I dislike), but I'm getting into doing some gigs this year (I sing and play guitar) so will probably join the live music society to get some contacts. What about you?

I've already started talking to some people who are also going to Sheffield on FB and we're getting on well so I'm not too daunted about the social side! I found everyone to be really friendly up there as well!

I sure hope I can continue to do as well as I have been I don't have any experience with anything TV-related yet (mainly because I'd have no idea how to get into it from my current position!) - I need to find out how the heck to get onto that path, which will probably involve becoming a lecturer first at least :') Your PhD subject sounds amazing! How are you finding it?

I'm really looking forward to it! I fell in love with Sheffield when I first went there for the open day! My offer's ABB but I'm predicted AAB so I think it's doable. Just a random question, what kind of things are on during freshers?

I've applied to BA Chinese with Japanese as well as to Endliffe for accommodation, although I won't find out if I've actually got in until the dreaded results day! What did you do for undergrad?

I see you're at Sheffield uni! I'm planning on going there this September. Got any insider advice on what (not) to do?
