I'm no photographer - but I do LOVE taking pictures. e.g.

Why don't you stop criticising everyone else and post something yourself?

Because all of my better photographs are part of larger installations, generally including sound. Not quite conveyable on an internet forum. I might go and have a root about in a minute for some to scan in, because I've older photographs that stand on their own or in series.

Wow those are cool.

For the record, I like all the photos in this thread regardless of what their intrinsic artistic worth may be.
Oh noes, a sunset!

I'm no photographer too, though. It's just fun to capture memories.
And another little thing, I hate how there is almost a taboo on colour, how black and white is often used to make photos "classier".

Some excellent photos here, it really is interesting to see the pleasingresults people can get with even the most basic equipment.

Here are a couple of mine from my recent trip to Austria:

And another from my holiday in Dorset last year:

It's hard to choose my favourites, but I think it'd have to be these three.

I don't really 'get' photography, splurged £150 on a camera, but just becuase you have an expensive camera in your hands doesn't make you a brilliant photographer unfortunatly. Nice for taking snaps though, will be useful to take pictures of time at Uni, so I can look back when I am old lol.

Anyway, thistles in bright morning sunlight:

I love thistles  Not sure why I added the border.
