how is the science and engineering programme like (foundation course) ?? thanx.
Friends of mine that have done the course found it enjoyable and relatively simple. But you can see how the modules are set out here if you haven't already checked it out.
how easy is it to transfer from the geography department to law and politics, i got 4 a's at alevel dunno if that wud increase my chance? can you PLEASE PLEASE tell me lol how you do this? and how early you can do this? and any experiences with switching courses thank you in advance!
I believe you are alowed to take people to fresher events and what not?
Anyone got any experience of this?
They really don't check for guests in anyway. Obviously, if your flatmates complain then they'll know.
I wouldn't advise taking any guests in the first week - it is about getting to know everyone there. Having a guest will stop you from getting fully involved because you'll fall back on them.
Some Fresher's events have limited tickets and guests will not be allowed - it'd be a bit unfair to let guests in and someone be left out because of it.

Would only be in the evenings as the gues is working here for a couple of days.
I'm not really into partying too much to be honest... so would make a super effort during the day.

Still partying or not, most of the socialising is done in the evening. During the day you have things like registration and course meetings to go to. Not saying you won't make friends during this time but I still recommend going out at nights. I'm not a drinker so going out to clubs and stuff can be a bit of a drag, but I did it anyway and it was much to my benefit.
How old is the guest? If they're of a similar age then I don't expect there to be any problems, aside from the fact your flatmates may want to party till the early hours, your guest might not get much sleep!!
