a green Superdry parka jacket is all i have ever bought, and all I ever will. The rest of there clothing is quite frankly repulsive.

I prolly like some of their items but I dont like to wear anything that has a noticable comapany logo/name on it......might consider something with a logo on it if its extremely good but otherwise naa...

What do you guys think of the Premium Superdry leather jackets? I'm considering getting one since I can get 25% off...

I've noticed in the past months Superdry has really come into fashion a lot more than they use to. Aside from winter being upon us, I think they're becoming a conventional trend now. I remember in 2009 when they were virtually unheard of, amazingly expensive and made you feel classy. Now you see little ten year olds wearing them, corner street chavs sporting them and they're slowly but surely becoming the new icon amongst mediocre-mid popular fashion models. I like the jackets but I don't like the idea of everyone else wearing something which once had a sense of originality to it. Is that a bad thing? I know equality is important but in this incidence it sucks.

I don't recall Superdry ever being a classy brand :lolwut:

I don't like the women's leather jackets as the inside of the hood is red, but I think the rest of them looks nice. They are MUCH cheaper in the shop too, last time they had about £50 off.

I think their denim is okay quality-wise for the price (roughly the same price as River Island). Apart from a couple of pairs of jeans, I have an overshirt kind of thing (not the checked one), which is really comfy and well made. I got it from ASOS though about £20 cheaper, I wouldn't have paid the full price for it as I don't wear it that much.

I've read some of the post and i agree w/ you.

But quick question, what is Superdry?
Is it just a jacket or something else?

It's the whole brand itself, but they specialise in making jackets. They make other types of clothes as well though.
It may be good quality but who wants a t-shirt that lasts a lifetime? And I'm pretty sure there are places you can go to get good quality NICE clothes without, as people have said, the massive label attached to it to allow you to proclaim how much you can afford to spend on a t-shirt...
It's a tacky brand. Always has been.

I dont understand all these negative posts! Ok, I've never actually bought anything from Superdry, but when I go in the shop I always see stuff I like. Some of their shirts and tops are actually quite nice, and don't have any garish logos on them!? Also never thought of it as expensive either. Its a bit more expensive than most highstreet shops, but then it looks like its pretty good quality!
Some of my friends have Superdry clothes and they love them!
Very confused as to why everyone hates Superdry so much!?!?

I too have noticed a lot of people wearing Superdry, namely coats with non paid-for advertising written either on the front shoulder or a couple of inches below the neck to the right.

Maybe it's the fact it's "Japanese". I reckon they could translate anything into Japanese and people would be non-the wiser to what it meant as they can't get over the 'it's cool to have some Japanese written on it' factor...

...But it sucks arse....

At the end of the day, ll you are doing is turning yourself into a human billboard. If they really made their clothes for the quality/warmth, then they wouldnt need to emblazon it with a massive "SUPERDRY logo.

The fact some people wear intentionally [large] branding, thinking that they look "cool" or that it's a must-have brand to be seen wearing, degrades the brand as a whole so much so that no-one can be taken serious wearing it; Henleys has to be the best example of that though.
The only superdry item I own is a summer dress and the tiny brand tag near the hem of the skirt is practically invisible, if it was larger I wouldn't have bought it. It isn't worth the £45 they sell it for though, which is why I bought it on their eBay outlet store (selling end of line/ last season's leftovers) for just under a tenner!
You may as well just wear a t-shirt that says I SPENT £50 ON THIS BECAUSE I CAN AFFORD TO

I have quite a few Superdry t-shirt. It mainly because of the quality. It is nothing to do with spending £50 on it. It is the quality.

You can get similar quality for half the price. If you like them, fair enough, but a plain t-shirt with a brand doesn't appeal to me at that price tag. To be fair, the £150 coats are worse though.

sorry if I am being naive - half the price , where?

I do own a few hollister, G-Star, Next, Debenhams... polos, tee-shirts, it is about the quality.

Like you said, Next, Hollister, Debenhams... t-shirts are about £15. Superdry tees are £30 - that's steep for a plain shirt.

I like to shop a different stores. Why should I get all my clothes from Hollister? I do pop into the Superdry store or Cult.
It is about quality. I genuinely do not care about the brand although I do like the Japanese writing.
I am not rich, yes £30 is a bit pricey. It is worth it. I got superdry t-shirts that have lasted well over 2 years (it is still being sold at £30). You can't beat the quality.

I see where you're coming from, I like to shop at different stores too. In fact, I myself own a Superdry hooded t-shirt because I genuinely like it, it's a bit more than I'd normally pay, but you can't get them elsewhere. Owning one or two t-shirts isn't a big deal, I'm not attacking you personally, I just don't understand the people who ONLY shop at Superdry - they all look the same, and they clearly only care about the branding. They're the sort of people who annoy me.
