Disable IP Flood Detection?

Would it be bad if I disabled IP Flood Detection on the house hub (VMDG280)? :colondollar:

I'm on Virgin 20MB but I have never reached that speed! :nooo:

When I try to refresh more than a couple of tabs at a time, my internet connection seems to grind to a halt, and I have to unplug my wireless adapter, wait a few minutes, then reconnect. I've noticed that my (admittedly cheap) adapter seems to get really hot, so I've also ordered a high-gain wireless adapter to see if that improves things.

Tests:

I'd appreciate any help :colondollar:

For a home network it won't hurt.

It won't leave us all wide open to attacks, will it?

I just have a hunch... that the flood detection might be kicking in when I refresh several tabs at once... :holmes:

I doubt anyone will try and attack you, if they made a serious go of it the Flood Detection wouldn't be much use anyway.
