What's the stupidest policy in your school?

It's not really a policy, but the internet filter bans the word "fun". Lol

When I was in 6th form, I once googled 'chi-sqaure statistical table' to look a value up since I didn't have the book, and every search result I clicked on was blocked, and under the 'pornography' category... wtf!

i've left now but 'no coats to be worn in the library' because they're 'restricting'

more like our librarian was super fat and everything she wore was restricting!

we weren't allowed to carry bags around because of 'overcrowding' and we weren't allowed to wear our blazers in lessons, but the blazers were compulsory to buy and cost like £120 quid :/.

That is absurd, what reason was given?

Oh we had sites that were banned because of "humour" :lolwut: Not allowed to laugh now apparently.

be on time

hated it.
Our school blocked foreign languages on the computers....even though the MFL department had their own computer suite (which they couldn't use) and it meant the A-level students couldn't do their research at school for coursework :colonhash:.

At secondary school, we we're allowed to take our sweaters off no matter how warm it got (obviously, some teachers were less strict on that rule), because it apparently made us look "scruffy". Yet they had no rule regarding trousers, and so didn't care that the majority came in sweatpants, trakkies, combats etc :erm:
A few that I remember:

Footballs had to be size 3 or under lest they be confiscated but basketballs were allowed.
6th formers weren't allowed to play any ball games during free periods.
In lower school you used to have to have your planner signed every week or else you get a detention.
Top button must be done up at all times, must wear blazer.
Compulsory 'general R.E' for sixth formers
Pretty much every website was banned except a couple.

Probably more as I hated the place.

I remember my primary school banned all types of balls, cause I teacher got hit by one one break time.

They also banned conkers. Bastards. But me and my friends formed an underground conkers society. AHH good times.

Didn't you know that statistics tables are now considered "kinky"? The term "1 cup" was also banned, which made food tech difficult.

These are the authoritarian police states we often call secondary schools. Of course, humour is forbidden, neutral behaviour is mandatory and roboticism is encouraged.
The worst have to be 'no snowball fights' even though it snows once a year, and no football during break and lunch. :frown:

Apparently their too restrictive and cause 'distraction' due to the pockets or something? It was a year 11 privilege to wear them ......my school was retarded

They give you detention in the SIXTH FORM.

They also criticise you if you don't participate in Communion, even though they aren't meant to (if I'm not Catholic, why am I going to pretend that I am).
