It depends on what day you look at the price on the internet. For example, I'm using the trains today and the price I currently see on the internet is what I will pay in the station. However, if I booked a month ago or whenever then it will be cheaper (I haven't booked in advance for a while, so I don't exactly know when prices are cheaper online).

It is the same price "walk-on" unless you get a cheaper advance booking.

I was disappointed that the windows were grubby inside & out, spoiled the view a bit ... but swimming in the sea at Folkestone was nice.
