I've also applied to Leicester and UEA. I didn't get to attend a Leicester open day, so what did you think of the dept and what was the uni as a whole like? (Presuming you attended an open day).
Had offers from:
UEA - ABB (IR and Modern History) Aber - 300 points inc 1 A-Level B. (IntPol and IntHis)
Hey! Yeah i did attend an open day for Leicester. I was quite impressed. The campus is lovely, the department all see friendly and close knit. All the pol+IR department and passionate. The Lecturer who was also the admissions tutor for the dept seemed quiet lenient on entry - in terms of qualifications he said he'd accept any Alevels - inc General Studies, Finance etc, aslong as the candidate can show their absolutely passionate about the subject.
I went to UEA open day aswell, (but i didnt attend the Pol lectures as i was looking at a different subject at the time). Im comparison UEA seemed more 'professional' than Leicester. But Leicester is a nicer looking uni and city (in my opinion) so at the moment im pretty torn which one to choose for my firm choice!
Just got my 4th Offer! Nottingham for European politics!
[QUOTE=Victoriiia[excludedFace]smile[/excludedFace];35079092]My UCAS journey is officially over! I've responded to my offers and have firmed Nottingham and Insured Loughborough! how to get those grades!
I'm studying politics at Nottingham. You may ask any questions.
Hey - thanks that would be so helpful! May I ask, how you honestly feel about the course and whether it's lived up to your expectations?
I'm only in first year so I only have experience of 4 modules.
What are your exact interests? I'm interested in Asia but I don't have any modules on that region specifically. You can write essays based on your interest though, so that's fine.
I'm happy with the course.
Some modules are difficult for me: the one on Plato, Aristotle, Machiavelli. Etc. Your course may not have this module though.
