lol, I live in Chelsea because I'm well posh innit!

Show off!

I live in Ealing....... Ealing Deane. I got more class than anyone lol :smug:

The average property price in £100.8bn :teehee:

How do you find Bangor? I assume you went on an open day...... I hope to apply next year (When I have done my AS Levels) I have only looked at a few videos and read the prospectus over several times....... I love it! I have an awesome feeling about Bangor. Had a similar feeling about Aberystwyth.

Im not sure what its like being far out of the way. I may want to "re-invent" myself and be abit more sociable in the future but I am not much (and do not see myself ever being ) of a drunky drunky , Go to the club each night and have a WKD and Coke kind of guy. But I wouldn't mind the odd one or two pub/bar crawls and maybe sip the odd pint or fifteen or so non-alcoholic jagerbombs

Can you tell I don't drink? (I would have one alcoholic drink probably but that's it)

I don't think I would be willing to spend a ****load of cash on Alcohol anyway. I am the kind of guy who stands up in M&S each at lunch time weighing up the pros, cons and opportunity costs of buying the ham sandwich over the pasta salad and vice versa.

Quick question; if I do decide to study in Bangor will my loan or fees be any different because it's in Wales or is it the same as if I applied for an English University?

Same I'm afraid. You are English and are ordinarily resident in England so you would be paying English fees. Presumably of £9,000

I haven't been yet going to post offer open day in February. I've got a friend there who loves it! He has his nights out but I don't think it's like a party every night kind of uni.

As long as I can go out and socialise the odd time , do my shopping and everything at all of my favorite shops then Im fine! :h:

I would quite like a change from bustling London but not be stuck in a village overrun by Sheep (Which I know Bangor , unlike most of Wales isn't  )

It seems like a nice place but a bitch of a place to get to. Not as bad as Aberystwyth I suppose.

Trains from Euston can be alright sometimes. You can get the direct one which goes right through to Holyhead (they don't run that often) which is usually pretty cheap, otherwise you'll have to change at Chester, Crewe or Warrington to get the connecting train on to Bangor. Tickets are then £50+ (with a railcard).

If you're from down south, GET A RAILCARD, will save you a bundle.

I have to come from Reading, to Paddington, get on the tube to Euston, then change at Crewe/Chester/Warrington to get to Bangor. Usually 6 hours journey time including stops. :frown:

My 2 choices were Bangor and Aberystwyth too. But Aber was just too high demands with UCAS points, so I rejected the offer.

Nightlife is pretty good tbh. I live within 2 mins of 6 pubs and about 10 takeaway places (about 5 mins from Halls). Then you go into lower Bangor (down "Bitch Hill" - you'll understand when you walk up it at 3am) and there's 4 nightclubs (Embassy, Academi, Octagon, Base - in order of best to worst) and so many more pubs I can't even count.

It can be a "party every night uni". Paddy's has Paddy-oke on Sundays (very loud for people who live right opposite, and the nightclubs will cater for every other night of the week if you mix and match, most have student nights, Embassy has a rock/indie night, Base has dubstep/DnB nights etc.

I might book accommodation for the applicant day to have a night out there, i'm fairly sure it will be decent with the amount of students in the city, THAT many people surely can't stay in every night.
