Oh wow, that sounds great and not so bad at all.. Did you join the gym? Cause I was wondering how the gym's like..

I did yeah  The gym's pretty cool, it's got a cardio bit and weights room etc, and there's a swimming pool and massive sports centre too. There's 3 types of membership, bronze, silver & gold, and I don't really know that much about bronze+silver other than that you still have to pay to use the gym (I'm not sure how much, but it is cheaper than if you didn't have a membership at all) but with gold you can use everything for free, gym, swimming pool, sports centre, outside courts and pitches and fitness classes, but it is £200 a year.
If you google uni of Nottingham gym you can find out more about it + the fitness classes etc

What are you studying in japan?

I have no major declared (because I'm only here for one year) so it's a basic liberal arts programme. Took modules in Japanese language, history, society, literature etc.

This is Woolmanhill, which is the worst student accommodation to be fair... its not as bad as it looks. Woolmanhill is supposed to provide you with the 'student' experience, which was great during freshers and the first few months but being woken up at 3 in the morning everyday of the week by drunk, screaming girls gets a bit tedious

The people inside Darroch Court..well, thats another matter. I applied to Darroch Court without ever coming to any open days at Edinburgh or even ever visiting Scotland. What I slowly realised is that due to Darroch Court's close proximity to the gym/sports centre, alot of the people within Darroch Court are those who are doing 'sports science' or whatever it is called (....hah, not the world's most academic subject..), just a warning. Oh and I was surprised to see how many people within Darroch are actually Scottish; there are so FEW international people its actually crazy, If i could turn back time I would choose to be in Pollock simply due to the social benefits, everyone is much more friendly, its easier to socialise because the layout is kinda like boarding school where people live on corridors so theres always someone to talk to, youre not refined to just your flat.

Do you know how stuck up you sound?
can anyone post any of UEA, UCS or Essex please?
