Change to my application

Hi, I've already sent my application away and had some answers (most of them rejected me) and since then I've decided to add a new higher, so I am doing 4 highers now instead of 3.
I called up UCAS to get it added onto my application and I was told that the new ammended application would be sent to my universities and I should contact them letting them know.

I forgot to ask though, does this apply to the universities that have already rejected me? Will they recieve my new application and do I have to let them know as well?

Please help because if it doesn't apply to them then I can withdraw and use my new application to apply for extra.
