Yes, I haven't heard a thing from them. Had to go back and check my emails to make sure I had confirmation that I'd actually applied! They said in the email they would notify of the status of the application so I assume that means they will eventually get back to us...
I havent heard either, but I do know that interviews have been taking place from what has been said on here a couple of weeks ago.
I have not heard of any PFOs either, so it is possible they haven't sent their rejections out yet. Being positive however, I think we are on a maybe pile
Hey people, anybody know what is the deal with Cleary Gottlieb? I haven't received anything yet, obviously its a PFO but still its March for God's sake....
What are people's opinions on chasing firms after interview for an answer? Is it *never* ok? Is it ok after two weeks, three, a month?
Thoughts would be appreciated, especially if you have ever rung a HR dept for an answer.
I think as a general rule, if they've given you a time frame for when they would respond, I'd give them another week on top of that before chasing.
I personally wouldn't chase a firm if I didn't need an answer. It's highly unlikely they've forgotten about you so it could be best to just be patient.
The one time I did chase a HR department it was because I needed a response as I had to reply to another firm that had offered me a vac scheme and wanted to know what the score was to avoid clashing dates. By this point I'd been waiting a month after interview, when they had said I would hear in 2-3 weeks. They replied (perfectly politely) saying they were sorry for the delay and they hoped to get back to me in the next week. That was two weeks ago. I had to reply to the other firm so even if they do now offer me a place (seems unlikely) I'd have to turn them down.
