Average Time at Uni per week..

I'm a first year university student, going to be studying BAHons English at Winchester Uni.
Haven't yet got my timetable, but i'm just wondering what sort of hours i can be expecting to actually be in uni per week?
Trying to organise work etc, so would be helpful if anyone else doing a similar course has got their timetables if they could give me a rough idea!
Thanks!

I'm at Lancaster Uni so I can't promise it'll be the same at Winchester, but here English was one of those subjects that was notorious for having relatively few contact hours; in second year I have 7 hours and first year I believe I had 9, though we were made to do an additional subject in first year which bumped it up to the 9.
Only 7 hours?!? Man I'm gonna be bored!

In my first year I had 7 hours and this year I have 8

On average last year I had around 8. It's more likely to be 5 or 6 this year.

You will almost certainly never have more than ten hours per week of contact time. Most universities try to reduce this further by have the same contact time, or proportionally less, for core units.

Two hours per 20 credits seems the norm.

I'm going to be studying English at uni this year and for my first year it's 15 hours of contact time a week! Compared to everyone else this seems like a lot.
I'm at St. Andrews. Three hours of contact time next semester (I'm in my final year). It's ridiculous.
My first year was 13 hours per week, and this year it's dropped down to 10 but obviously with more intensitivity. I know people who do law and are at uni for 6 hours, and those who do psychology that are in for 16 hours, it really is quite confusing as to why universities differ so drastically.
Roughly 5 1/2 hours a week this year

7 next year + work based project one morning a week.

Trust me, everyone gets jealous, but I would LOVE to have more hours. And this is coming from someone who likes to go out a lot and socialise.

Winchester uni is about 0 hours per week.
I'm in my final year at St Andrews and we get 4. Last semester, while I was doing my dissertation, we had two :|

I have 9 this year - 6 hours of lectures and 3 hours of seminars. 4 of those 6 hours aren't English Lit, but they are English-related subjects.
