Fora 42 week contract, which I think is pretty much the standard for first year halls, you'd have to be paying only £71 a week. I haven't heard of many like that at all.

OK. Well I can only really speak for Warwick since it's the uni I go to. First year halls:

Benefactors is £2820, Cryfield is £2280 and Whitefields is £2850 including bills. Off campus accommodation is around £2800 + bills, although you can find it cheaper.

Ahh must just be cheap there... At Sheffield, I just looked, the cheapest is £3300 or something.
