iodine clock reaction

Hi

for my chemistry coursework I'm doing how does the concentration of potassium iodide affect the rate of reaction?

Also known as the 'iodine clock reaction'

I'm using:
starch solution
sodium thiosulfate
potassium peroxidisulfate
potassium iodide

I was just wondering what the two colorless solutions are, that mix together to form the dark blue colour.

Thank you

Coursework? In chemistry?

This sounds like the actual practical to me...

What are the two colourless solutions, that when mixed together form the dark blue colour.
Also, if possible could you tell me the job of the reactants in the experiment.

Thank you.
