I don't drink- will Freshers week render me friendless?

I don't drink (no religious or health reasons, it's just not my thing) and clubs/bars tend to be a bit loud for me. Will this kind of thing mean I end up not making friends in Freshers week? I've done an Art foundation course and freshers week* (*month) was bearable, if only because I had my girlfriend there with me who is also pretty introverted. I'm just worried I won't meet many people like me when I get there. Maybe that's silly, I don't know. Anyway, thanks!
I don't drink either and it hasn't affected my ability to make friends at all. People will accept you as you are (if they're worth your time) so don't worry  You'll have an awesome freshers just as anyone else....even BETTER actually because you'll actually remember it
Oh look never seen a person in your situation before(!)

Lots of people don't drink including me. Some people don't need to drink to have a good time

As long as you're not one of those people who sit in their rooms for the entire of freshers week, refusing to talk to anybody (trust me, they exist and often post on here wondering why they can't make friends) then you should be absolutely fine.
People may be slightly curious of you, prodding you with a stick and such but I assure you won't be rendered friendless as long as you are a friendly person.

I was the same - before Fresher's.

This thread has been done to death. But to answer your question: No, you won't be friendless. I know plenty of people who don't drink.
You won't be friendless. Just make an effort to get to know people...

Nah mate not at all. Buy any fizzy drink and people will assume it's got a shot in it anyway
I didn't drink at all in freshers week either. I went to pubs anyway and I ordered coke. I mostly stuck to the few people who didn't drink, though. Freshers week is a great way to meet new people, don't miss out on it. The people I met in freshers week are the only friends I have at uni now.
Don't be ridiculous ............................... I mean by not drinking, what the hell is wrong with you! :pierre:

Nah but seriously it won't make the slightest bit of difference. If you can drive though i would advise not telling anyone. Drunk people like to take advantage.

No but you may have to be a bit more outgoing (e.g. approaching people you don't know).
Drunken conversations with strangers = a lifetime friendship.

If you are a female no, if you are male yes (unless you develop a cohort of females that fancy you).
Noone will care really, some people may offer to buy you drinks or for you to taste some of theirs. The worst you'll get is people saying they don't know how you do it, but thats not anything bad really.

You'll all be fine. As long as your generally friendly people your drinking habits or lack of wont affect whether or not I(or most normal people) would be friends with you.
I guess you'd have more friends than the ones puking on eachother

As long as you still go down the pub and socialise you will be fine. Its the people who think that because they don't drink that means they can't even go down the pub and socialise that have the problem.

Why don't you drink anyway?
