Pride and Prejudice Help.

I am doing English Literature GCSE on Of Mice and Men and Pride and Prejudice.
Well I recently did a mock exam on only Pride and Prejudice and I got a "E" grade and I am predicted a B grade. I really struggle with Pride and Prejudice. I understand the story line and everything etc. However sometimes I cant specifically understand the extract provided so I cant answer questions on them. Of Mice and Men is great, understandable etc. So what can I do to improve my understanding of Pride and Prejudice.

See if you can find some past exam questions and definitely practice planning/writing the essays. Even if you only plan the essays, you can make a really detailed plan with each different point you're going to make, a quotation to back up your point and then a brief analysis of the quotation that you'd be able to develop in your essay. You could also go list each theme/main character then go through the text picking out quotations that you could use for each theme/character!
