You find a common denominator

Same as adding any fraction

ab+cd=ad+bcbd\frac{a}{b} + \frac{c}{d} = \frac{ad+bc}{bd}

For example, number 6:

[br]f(x)=x+x2x2+20x2+x6=x1+x2x2+20(x2)(x+3)[br][br]f(x)={-x}+\dfrac{x^2}{x-2}+\dfrac{20}{x^2+x-6}=\dfrac{-x}{1}+\dfrac{x^2}{x-2}+\dfrac{20}{(x-2)(x+3)}[br]

So you have to find the Least Common Multiple between the three denominators 1, (x-2), and (x-2)(x+3).
