Troy gets rid of the most interesting aspect of the Iliad (the gods, of course), but provides decent contemporary commentary on the Iraq war and some cool fight scenes. Last King of Scotland features an inexplicably appraised performance that wouldn't feel out of place in a blaxpoitation film, and uses its true story aspect in a really flat way.
