Revision books for Maths OCR A-level

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if you could help me with something regarding revision book to buy. I am currently on holiday and will be joining sixth form for the first time in September. I will be taking maths and I thought it would be wise to get a bit of revision in before I start so I rang the Maths teacher at the sixth form. And he told me I should and the exam board is OCR and that there is 'Ordinary OCR' and 'OCR (MEI).

So can anyone who is a teacher who is doing there AS levels for maths on the same exam board tell me which revision books to buy maybe send me a link or something?

Thanks

EDIT: I've just found these two are they the right ones?

You won't do both OCR AND OCR MEI. You will do one of the two. I am guessing your teacher was telling you you will follow the normal OCR A specification (your second book).

Okay, well maybe he won't know which we are doing until just before September? Or is that not really a possibility?

Also are OCR A and OCR MEI just much for muchness really? so do you recommend I just buy the OCR A one?

If you haven't started the course yet, is a revision guide the right thing? I presume their purpose would be more to reinforce material that the student's already covered, rather than to help them learn it from scratch.

Read the amazon reviews, they should be helpful.

I'm self-studying OCR maths at the moment from the standard course textbooks by Neill/Qualding and I would reccomend them. Although I assume you'll be given your own textbooks once sixth form begins.

I'm sure he knows which one he is doing. Do you have a prospectus from the school/college in question? These usually give the specification.
