How often do you meet up with friends?

Anon because the friends in question go on here so it'd be a bit awkward haha.

Due to various circumstances I only have 3 friends who I meet up with outside of sixth form. One I meet up with on her own and the other two are good friends so we usually go out as a three. I went out with them last Thursday and I'm bored and as the weather is picking up I'm wondering if I should ask them to meet up again? We never usually meet up so often (usually once every month or so) so I don't want to come across as clingy. The weather seems like it'll be improving and I doubt they have much to do either but I'm worried incase they have plans with their families and they feel obliged to say yes.

Helllllllp me please.

Just ask them, the worst thing that could happen is they say no
Depends on average once a week or twice a month.
If the weather is good then 4-5 times a week. There's no harm in asking Im sure you wont seem clingy after just one week.

Different sets require different amounts. Previously I had one main set of friends who I met up with once a week and usually just went ''out'' with and then I had people from work or from this c#volunteer experience I had who I met with on rarer occasions.

Now at Uni I have really good friends who I'd ideally like to see once a week or even more sparingly (as in outside of University/day time) but in actual fact they are very meety uppy and if they are not doing anything then they just turn up and my flat. It's not a problem or an issue but I previously didn't realise that some people require so much friends time. I always though being with friends was a ''doing thing'' - go to the movies, going out, going for a meal or doing something ''social'' but for teh past two years I have friends who come round just to do nothing.

I was used to
me ''hey''
friend ''hey what are you doing''
me ''nothing, we can go out tomorrow to xyz''
friend ''cool, i'll let fernando know''

now it is mor like

me ''hey''
friend ''hey, what are you doing''
me ''nothing''
friend ''cool i'll be round in 5 minutes''

I still find this concept hard to work out but we always end up doing something really fun or having a blast just ''doing nothing''

In high school though I didn't like socialising much, even though I had really good friends. I think everyone is different, and especially when you are still in school you'll all be limited by finances, house rules and academic expectation. If you want to do something with your friends then go for it. Suggest it. There is no hard and fast rule about how ''friendships'' work. I would say I'm just as close to those far away friend I rarely see as much as the ones I see day to day.

It depends. My friends who I've known from secondary school and some from college it's hard because summer a lot of us have birthdays like in June alone we saw each other 4 times and that was within a week which is actually rare seeing as we have jobs and stuff. Month of July twice so far and August probably once unless we arrange to see each other. Even though we see each other less now, we have the most fun so it doesn't seem like we haven't seen each other in a while

Now that it's the holidays, like a few times a week. We're going to the park tomorrow since the weather is gonna be quality. Most of my mates aren't really doing much, so it's easy to ask if they wanna do something.

If in doubt, and the weather's decent, just go to the park. Sitting around with mates doing nothing is always really fun.

If they are your friends, then asking them to go out is normal surely? Personally, I see my friends about 3/4 times a week.

I haven't seen one of my closest non-sixth form mates since Christmas, but I rang her up for a chat today and it was just like normal. We arranged to meet up on Tuesday  I think it just depends on the dynamic you have with your friends, as it's the summer holidays why not meet up a bit more often? I don't see that as clingy, personally.
In the summer, usually 3/4 times a week, maybe more or less depending on if I have other things to do or they are busy. If I am bored I would just a text a few people and see who else feels the same.. I would just go for it because you never know, they might be thinking the same thing.
see my friends everyday even if its just for a coffee or a trip to the pub in the eve, but this is because we're off to uni in 2 months so we're making the most of it

This is about the same amount that I see my friends, we could go from seeing each other everyday for a while and then turns into once every week or 2!

There's nothing wrong with asking them, I'm sure one of your friends are hoping that someone else wants to go out
