I'm a librarian/archivist, currently for a television company.

Sounds pretty good! Is it a big company? Is it a good job?

Yes, and yes. I can turn on the tv and see programmes which are being broadcast because I played my part in the process of getting the right tape to the right place at the right time. Quite cool really.

I started working in university libraries after undergrad because I enjoy doing research and helping people find information, then I did an MA in Information Management and Librarianship (because you more or less have to if you want to progress into higher up jobs) then saw the tv library job advertised whilst job hunting at the end of my postgrad course.
